How does the currency converter work?
Enter an amount, pick the source and target currencies, and the converter multiplies your amount by the current exchange rate. Rates come from the free Frankfurter API, which publishes European Central Bank reference rates on banking days.
How do I convert USD to EUR?
Select USD in the “From” field, EUR in the “To” field, enter the amount in dollars, and the euro value appears immediately — no button press needed.
Are exchange rates updated automatically?
Yes. The converter fetches the latest available rates when the page loads. If the live feed is unreachable, it falls back to recent reference rates and tells you so under the result.
Can I convert between any two currencies in the list?
Yes. Every currency in the dropdown can be converted to every other one — for example JPY to GBP or CAD to AUD — using their rates against USD as the common base.
Why is the converted amount different from my bank’s rate?
Banks and card issuers add their own margin and fees on top of the mid-market reference rate, so the amount you actually receive can differ slightly. Treat converter results as indicative.
